Open Position in Chemical Biology/Protein Biochemistry/Protein Engineering!
The PhD project will be positioned in the interdisciplinary area of chemical biology/synthetic biochemistry and will apply and develop new approaches for expanding the genetic code to incorporate unnatural amino acids with new reactivity site-specifically into proteins.
Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biotechnologoy or similar subject with a strong background and solid hands-on experience in standard molecular biology techniques and protein biochemistry (molecular cloning techniques, protein expression and purification). Knowledge and practical experience in protein engineering and/or mammalian cell culture will be beneficial. A strong interest in chemical biology oriented research is also essential.
